Chris Black Made his First Ever NASCAR Whelen All American Series Late Model
Start This past Weekend. March 22nd 2008 Marks the day Chris Black Makes the
leap from the Charger Division to Late models with the help of
Platinum Plus, Avalon Hair Studio, and Eagle Auto Sales. Chris Black will be
looking to learn alot this year moving up into the highest level of
competition at Greenville Pickens Speedway, Black showed up at the track
Saturday with mixed feelings whether or not he made the right decision, but
after "turning" a few laps in his LMSC he knew he was home. Chris started in
the rear of both races of the twin 50's anticipating "THE BIG ONE" but it
never really came so Chris just wanted to shakedown his car for the first
race and ended up finishing 17th out of 30 cars.
Race two of the Twin 50's Chris decided once again to start in the
rear of the pack of a 30 car starting field after the first race he had
pretty much used up the good out of his tires and just wanted to hang on and
finish another Grueling 50 lap race. Chris did hang on and came in 18th out
of 30 cars, Chris plans on making the most out of this season to LEARN AND
EARN. Meaning he will be trying to learn everything he can as these Late
Models have ALOT more adjustments and "Tricks" than the ole charger car. And
in regards to the "Earn" Chris looks to earn the respect of the Veteran
Drivers who have been doing this for many many years. So far even though this
is just the first race of the year Chris has Seemed to Have already earned
some respect. Check back often for up dates and additions to this
website......
